Scope and Contents
Daybook of sales of rum, lumber, turpentine, salt, snakeroot, fish, and farm produce by John Heard in 1788-1793, sometimes paid in barter of labor or service, and expenses related to shipping. Names in the volume include distiller Samuel Whipple, Comeno Morris, Thomas Appleton, Aarons Perkins, Daniel Noyes, Moses Conant, Simeon Safford, Francis Hovey, and Benjamin Warner. The end of the volume contains memoranda of fish due and received from sundry people in 1787.
