Series VI. Town of Baldwin papers, 1765-1816
Scope and Contents
This series includes papers of the town of Baldwin, Maine. The town was originally named Flintstown, however was renamed for Col. Loammi Baldwin and incorporated in 1802. There are also records related to the business partnership of Josiah Pierce (1756-1830) and Loammi Baldwin; they operated a general store and sawmill and invested in real estate.
