Bills of exchange from New York, London, Hanover, Germany, and Florence, Italy, primarily addressed to British merchants, dated 1748-1812. Included is a 1780 bill of exchange issued by the United States Continental Loan Office to John Jacobs for interest due on a loan certificate, paid in money advanced by the French government.
