Scope and Content
Series V, Research and Writing, is divided into two sub-series, BB and MB, each of which is further subdivided into four sub-sub-series, Notebooks (a), often taken on trips or cataloging notes about works of art and artists; Notes (b) on works of art, artists, and thematic subjects; Unpublished writings (c); and Published writings (d), consisting of notes, manuscripts, proofs, galleys, and final published copies of articles and books, organized in chronological order by first publication date.
