Scope and Contents: Copy of correspondence published in the London Magazine in 1755, transcribed by Hartshorn, concerning an unnamed surgeon's attempt to treat a child with an imperforated anus. The letter describes a procedure to create an opening, after which the child died, and the subsequent dissection by the surgeon.
