Scope and Contents: The bulk of the records in this collection are those of Rev. Robert Wheatly, director of the Office of Gay Concerns from 1977-1986. Correspondence to and from him and some of the other directors may be found throughout the collection, as well. In addition, much of the material in this collection not only documents the activities of the office, but also chronicles a growing nationwide movement concerning the rights of sexual minorities.
