Biography
Curtis Hibbard, son of Ebenezer and Clarissa (Curtis) Hibbard, was born in South Woodstock, Connecticut on June 18, 1812. As the proprietor of a farm in the town of his birth, Hibbard sold or bartered farm produce as well as his labor. In addition, he hired out his horses, oxen, and wagons to transport individuals and wood to Southbridge, Webster, Sutton, and Charlton. Curtis Hibbard married Asenath Fuller on March 27, 1838. Hibbard died on January 20, 1880. Some records have his name spelled as "Curtiss" or "Cortiss."
