Biography

Ruth Mildred Havey was born in 1899 and died in 1980. She was a landscape architect with an office in New York City. She began her career working in the office of Beatrix Farrand assigned to projects for the Dumbarton Oaks Garden, Washington, D.C. Once Beatrix Farrand retired from Dumbarton Oaks, she worked directly with Mildred Bliss, the owner of Dumbarton Oaks on additional projects for the garden.
