Biography

Edward Collins Bursk was a member of the Harvard Business School faculty and editor of the Harvard Business Review (HBR). He graduated from Amherst College in 1928 and a year later received his A.M. (Master of Arts) from Harvard University. In 1941, he joined the faculty of the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration (HBS) as an instructor and became a full professor in 1954. In addition to teaching, Bursk joined the Harvard Business Review in 1943 as Managing Editor. He was promoted to Editor in 1947 and would maintain this position until his retirement in 1971.
