Scope and Contents: Two page letter from John Warren (1753-1815) to Secretary of War William Eustis (1753-1825) regarding an opening at the Navy's Boston Marine Hospital. Warren remarks that he hopes that the new appointee would employ favorable teaching conditions for the faculty and students of the Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts and writes to support his son, John Collins Warren (1778-1856), as a possible candidate.
