Harvard University. News Office

The Harvard University News Office was established in 1919. The first photographer was hired in 1943. The slides depict people, places, and activities at Harvard University and its vicinity in Cambridge. Individuals depicted are of faculty, staff, and visitors. Activities and events depicted include student activites, research forums, and commencement. All slides are 35mm and in full color. Most slides have text written on the support that identifies the image.

Chiefly black and white 35mm negatives accompanied by a few strips of contact prints in some folders. The primary photographer was likely Rick Stafford.
